A diet high in fruits and vegetables has been linked to a lower risk of all kinds of health problems. Research is cloudy as to why or how compounds in fruit and vegetables may help, but rates of enlarged prostate are highest in countries where diets have high saturated fat content. So dont stop eating fruits and vegetables! The fresher the better. Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as mackerel, herring and salmon (basically any oily fish). Research suggests that diets rich in omega-3s lower the risks of all types of health problems.
